An entrepreneur from age 19, Yuri successfully built up a $60 million business portfolio before he turned 30. Along the way, his company was listed twice on the Profit 100 as one of the country’s largest and fastest growing private companies.
Yuri formed Fulmer Capital Partners in 2010 to continue his successful track record in enabling small and mid-cap businesses to reach their next level of growth. The current portfolio includes manufacturing, contract transportation, hospitality and an internet startup that has become a global industry leader in under two years.
Passionate about serving his community, Yuri has taken a leadership role in several of Greater Vancouver’s most prestigious charitable, educational, and arts organizations.He serves as an accredited Director (ICD.D) on a variety of corporate and civic boards, including Buyatab Online, Protonics Cleaning Solutions, Imperial Global Transportation, BlueShore Financial, Larosa Fine Foods, BC Ferries and United Way Centraide Canada. He is also an Honourary Governor of the Vancouver Foundation, Canada’s largest community foundation.
In 2008 Yuri served as General Campaign Chair for United Way– the youngest person in the organization’s 78 year history to hold this office, raising over 30 million dollars that year. He has also been a director of the Vancouver Foundation, Kwantlen Polytechnic University, The Boys and Girls Clubs of the South Coast and the Surrey Food Bank.
Over the years, Yuri has been recognized for his community involvement and philanthropy. Some of these include: Canada’s Top Forty Under 40 in 2008, the BC Community Achievement Award in 2010, the Spirit of Vancouver Award in 2011 and the Queen's Diamond Jubilee Medal in 2012 for his contribution to Canadian communities. Citing his “dynamic entrepreneurship and committed volunteerism” he was awarded the Order of British Columbia in 2010, the Province’s highest honour.
